Goyo, What Have You Done Now?

Well, for one thing I started a new website.  Over the months that I have had Travels With Goyo, and now also Sacramento With Goyo, I have become sort of acquainted with some of the commenters.  I also noticed that some of the people leaving comments seemed to be friendly with each other.  Well, wouldn’t it be nice, I thought, if there was a way that we could all communicate with each other in a more open atmosphere?  This forum is great for what it does, sharing my travels with you but it’s cumbersome for you and I to exchange messages back and forth.  With that in mind I started a Yahoo! discussion group called “Philippine Connections” where we can all post messages to the group as a whole and to each other.

Here is an excerpt from the welcoming statement I wrote for this group.

Welcome. This is a group for people from around the world to connect with each other about their love of the Philippines. Join us and tell us your connection to the 7,107 islands of the Philippines. Want to know something? Ask a question. Already know? Then give an answer to someone’s inquiry. Tell us where you’re from. Are you living there or perhaps wanting to move there? What do you like the most about the country? What are your favorite foods? Post a recipe if you have one. See old friends, make new friends. This is the place for all that and more.

The Philippines is such a wonderful and beautiful country full of friendly people. Come, help us celebrate the glories of Republika ng Pilipinas.
